- Who is AI Billback for?
- AI agencies and AI consulting firms that need to allocate provider AI costs to clients and produce a client-ready usage statement. It is for teams that already have OpenAI, Anthropic, or other provider cost exports — not for replacing a provider dashboard.
- Does this replace accounting software?
- No. AI Billback is not invoicing, QuickBooks, Xero, or an accounting system. It is a billback workflow for AI usage costs after you already have the export.
- Does AI Billback access my OpenAI account?
- No. The current product does not connect to OpenAI, Anthropic, or other provider accounts and does not require an API key. You upload or paste a cost CSV in the browser.
- How are AI costs assigned to clients?
- You assign saved cost rows to clients yourself, or leave them unallocated for review. Automatic attribution is not part of the current product.
- Can I send statements to clients?
- During the 14-day Pro trial and on Pro, you can open a real client AI usage statement and print it from the browser, including Save as PDF. Print is a preview, not an invoicing or email-delivery product. Sample statements stay available without Pro.
- What happens after the trial?
- The 14-day Pro trial starts on your first real CSV or paste save — sample data does not start a trial, and no credit card is required to begin. After the trial you can still view saved reviews and attribution. Saving new AI Cost Reviews, saving new attribution rules, and printing real client statements require Pro. Checkout is available after those 14 days.
